Personal Learning Network

  • Staying connected online offers teachers a world of opportunity. Professional networking will allow you to plan projects collaboratively as far as across the globe, get advice on lesson plans or classroom management and even provide you moral support when the going gets tough!  As HPE teachers our time to network face to face after school is limited by training and matches.

  • Watch the video to the right for a brief introduction to a PLN.

Don’t always think about what you have to gain but also what you have to give.

How do HPE teachers generally connect and develop?

1. Twitter
You don't have to tweet yourself but you can follow other people and ask questions when you need to. Take the 14 Day twitter Challenge set up by the PE Geek (see opposite) or use the image below to pick some people to follow.

2. Linkedin
Sign up and create a linked in account https://au.linkedin.com
It is a great tool to connect with like minded people and professionals to stay in touch with future trends and job opportunities. Go to the interests/tab group and add in Physical Education searches and engage in discussions.

3. Instagram
Plenty of the Phys Ed crew are on Instagram. Like twitter see who prominent people follow themselves and go from there.
